Description
Hand batik on pure cotton. Design on both sides.
This shawl is made using the wax resist batik technique — wax applied by hand onto pure cotton cloth, dyed, the wax removed to reveal the pattern underneath. The process is done on both sides of the cloth, which means the design appears fully on the front and the back.
What distinguishes hand batik from any printed textile is what happens to the colour during dyeing. The dye is absorbed into the cotton rather than sitting on top of it — which gives the cloth a depth and warmth that shifts slightly in different lights.
Wear it your way
Draped over a linen kurta . Wrapped as a shawl over a silk saree for an evening out. Worn as a dupatta with a salwar set. Folded into a neck scarf on a cool morning. The 200 cm length gives you complete freedom to drape, wrap, and style for any occasion or any season. Pure cotton means it breathes in summer and layers comfortably in winter.
A meaningful gift For the woman who values heritage craft over fast fashion — a piece she will reach for every season. Made from cotton , it is sustainable, soulful, and genuinely one of a kind.
