This hand painted batik leather clutch is made by artisans in Shantiniketan using a craft rooted in the art movement of Bengal. What you see is a beautifully painted leather clutch with traditional floral motifs, rich colour, and a finish that improves with age. The surface is painted by hand — every curve, every petal, every Kalka border drawn individually by the artisan. The leather is burnished to bring out its natural warmth and sealed with a lacquer finish for lasting protection. The design covers both sides.
